Students in grade 7 are currently learning about the Real Number system. The Real Number system includes all numbers rational and irrational. Rational numbers are numbers that can be written as as a fraction (or as a decimal that terminates or repeats), which irrational numbers are decimals that keep going and going! The most well known irrational number is pi. Rational numbers include integers (positive and negative whole numbers) and non-integers. Below is the students' diagram of the real number system.
